in the bag...

I'm in serious procrastination mode right about now. I'd rather tell you whats in my purse than work on my dissertation or think about packing.

No one really tagged me for this exercise I just kind of thought it would be fun to see its contents laid out & analyzed... so here are my earthly possessions which I carry with me on a daily basis.

1. the much dreaded cellphone-  i HATE talking on the phone myself, but I hate hearing other people talk on the phone more. I use it b/c I have to but I don't think a day goes by where I wish we still lived in a landline world.
2. green wallet- b/c my favorite color is green
3. Burt's Bees Pomegranite Lip Balm
4. A 10 Mexican Peso piece coin-  to remind me of my time there
5. 8GB Flash drive- it holds the contents of my brain (and my dissertation)
6. an old half melted tootsie roll that I believe was a gift....
7. a pen of a different color

So.. I'm going to dare anyone who reads this to also share their treasures!

  1. Are you aware of the "what's in your bag" flickr group. i was obsessed with it for some time. i like to see someone else who keeps it simple. I may do this exercise later.

also, I have been diligently reading your blog posts but i can never think of any clever comments. so here is a mass comments: coffee beats tea; your pics of campus made me homesick; i wish i could do a little urban foraging and come up with a source for cherries - yum; i am glad to hear that henry is doing alright - he is super!

  2. I loathe the phone! I think I am the only person in my generation who purposely "forgets" it at home on a regular basis.

  3. I agree with you about the phone. Mine is mostly turned off, or lost in the house much to the dismay of anyone trying to reach me on it! No more procrastination..back to work! (Sorry, had to be a party pooper)

  5. Yes! Cell phones are ridiculous. And don't even mention text messaging to me! It gets me in fits.
